System architecture
- reliability and high availability by most modern data communication technologies on all software levels
- most modern XML based data communication interfaces that assure problem-free additions in the future
- Java implementation independent of the operating system (Windows, UNIX, LINUX)
- reliability and open data base interfaces by SQL standard data bases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Informix, DB/2, etc.)
Interface control system/ Plant
As interface between the central control system and the technical plants the trend-setting XML standard „FCML (Facility Markup Control Language)" is used. FCML is a standard for the collection of process images and for the remote control of devices. FCML serves to harmonize already existing industry standards such as EEML (Escalator And Elevator Markup Language) und DCML (Damper Control Markup Language) and makes possible the smooth integration of further types of device.
Advantages FCML / EEML
The remote diagnostics of equipment is today common place. Problems arise particularly in the multiplicity of different however proprietary solutions. FCML forms a uniform and open standard, that makes the remote diagnostics of most different equipment such as elevators, escalators, emergency call systems and other types of device possible and can provide the data for building automation. Special value was put on the development of FCML for the possbility of adding not yet FCML able plants.
User interface
The visualization and controlling of building complexes has been made by a purely web-based user interface. This interface is adapted to the project for the respective environment to reach a high efficiency and a high acceptance by the users. Monitoring and control can take place thereby from each intranet or even internet terminal. An integrated authorization system supports different user groups (administrator, maintenance staff) with which different roles can be implemented with different rights of access. Maintenance staff and mobile coworkers can have access to a particularly PDA user interface.
